The Department of Health have issued an alert to all medical facilities advising of the rick to children within their buildings. They have instructed all facility managers to carry out risk assesments for their blinds to reduce the chance of harm to the public when visiting the facilities.

Briant Curtaining Ltd along with Blind Manufactures all over the world have been very concerned about the risks for some time, particularly in light of recent tragic events. Manufactures have now come up with some solutions to hopefully prevent this happening in the future.

With the “MAKE IT SAFE “campaign and the relevant European Standard (EN 13120:2009) the British Blind and Shutter Association has given guide lines to both its members and blind manufactures, and has enrolled company’s as an accredited “MAKE IT SAFE” company., these will soon appear on a brand new web site www.makeitsafe.org.uk .

Briant Curtaining have signed up to this scheme and taken steps to adopt these systems and training their staff accordingly.

To ensure the safety of schools, colleges, Surgery’s ect… are protected Briant’s can offer a free survey of your existing blinds and provide you with a quotation should there be need to bring in these new systems.

Please call 024 7671 3334 to arrange an appointment for your free survey, or e-mail us on bc@briantcurtaining.co.uk.

Its delightful designs and vivacious colours capture these timeless themes to perfection.

Amilie’s luxurious silks, linens and cottons give the collection a soft, laid-back feel. Claire Vallis explains: ‘The look we were aiming for was stylish yet casual at the same time.Taking archive designs, giving them a whimsical twist and colouring them in a contemporary way has resulted in a truly elegant collection.’

Amilie comprises five prints, two embroidered and two woven fabrics, complemented by seven wallpaper designs and a separate book of woven stripes and plains. The motifs encompass sumptuous floral bouquets, delightful roses, lavish tulips, enchanting ranunculus, magnolias and wisteria, pretty leaf trails and a captivating Toile.

The spirited colour palette comprises: vibrant shades of lime, fuchsia, pomegranate and coral red; more subdued tones of French grey, charcoal, warm metallics and neutrals; and softer hues of lilac, powder blue and baby pink.
The hugely succesful Sliding Panel System range from Silent Gliss goes from strength to strength with the introduction of system 2730 Flex and system 2700 making the range suitable for virtually any room layout. With the extended range there will be no limit to your creativity!

Silent Gliss 2730 Flex – a Curved Sensation
The first of its kind in the world – it can be used with every possible room layout. Its adjustable track allows it to be used as a design element or a room divider making the Silent Gliss 2730 Flex system both a practical and stylish option.

The unique flexible carrier allows the panels to glide smoothly and quietly. The system has the added benefit that it can be bent to a 90° radius so panels can be stacked discreetly around the corner on return walls for undisturbed views and maximum light.

Silent Gliss 2700

Following on from the classsic System 2500, the innovative System 2700 combines a new track and unique carrier with sophisticated roller gliders . The outcome is an even sleeker and quieter panel glide system. There is vast range of fabrics available, various operation methods (unconnected, hand, cord or electric) and a new transparent ‘click-in’ carrier feature making the 2700 Panel Glide system truly one of a kind!

Romantic in flavour and bohemian in styling, Repertoire Prints & Silks is an eclectic mix of beautiful Silks,

Satins and Velvets.

The designs suggest a feeling for vintage ‘flea market’ chic, whilst the colour palettes capture the essence of today’s sophisticated interior trends. ‘Anoushka’ is a large scale ’hand painted’ floral, on an elegant satin. The free flowing Peonies and Dahlias are given added character by the artists’ swift brushstrokes. ‘Romany’ is a dramatic, swirling Paisley, with the versatility of being on two different base cloths. The velvet version has a transparent print technique that allows this beautifully soft fabric to play with the light.

Two of the Romany colours are printed on natural linen grounds, with the pattern being enhanced by a ‘beaten metal’ patina. The silk stripe ‘Carnival’ has a beautiful mix of textures, with its’ complexity in the various combinations of Satin, Dupion and Ribbed weaves. Contemporary colour stories are used throughout the collection from softer shades of Vanilla, Marmalade and Dove Grey, to the warmer tones of Tuscan Red, Coffee and Raisin.

The wallpapers featured in the photography are from the Anthology collection, and the upholstery velvets

are from Repertoire Velvets.

Just recently at the Barchester Care Awards they transformed the whole room, with shape injection of colour and elegance the room was transformed into a vibrant room which helped award the staff from Barchester Care Homes.

Briant’s supplied Chair Covers to 160 chairs, flower and balloon arangements to 16 tables and other balloons that we scattered around the room. They also installed bunting to the high level lighting bar.

Staff & Management from Barchester and the Copthorne hotel couldnt believe the transformation.
